Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church

Mission Statement

Our mission statement is in conjunction with the Great Commission. “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Vision Statement

We desire to seek and save that which is lost, making disciples of men for the Kingdom of God in accordance with the word of God. “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”

 (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

We desire for each auxiliary of the church to fulfill its purpose with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Breaking beyond barriers and extending into the surrounding communities with holistic ministry (physical needs, social needs, & spiritual needs). “And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.” (John 6:11-12)

We desire to develop disciples through leadership training as well as encourage them to use those gifts as the Holy Spirit leads. “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” (Proverbs 18:16)
